I was in Shanghai in May 2008, my first trip to China, courtesy of my company which sponsors such oversea trips as incentive to the agents who work hard for the company. I was amazed by the development in China, as I travelled within the Jiangsu province there were abundant development projects and the highways stretch wide and far throughout the country.

Everybody spoke Mandarin and couldn't care less whether you understood the language or not. I managed to practice my rusty Mandarin and got over to bargain and at least made myself understood with what I wanted....
